Empowering clients to create a life that feels meaningful, whole, and authentic.
My approach:
My approach feels authentic and holistic because I am genuinely interested in my clients, and always want them to feel comfortable and free from judgment. I use the polyvagal theory to incorporate the mind-body connection, creating deeper, lasting, embodied changes. I work from an attachment-based, trauma-informed* lens and use techniques from a variety of modalities**. Sessions look like supportive, relational conversations, and therapy is a collaborative, transparent process.
My sessions are very educational- my clients who know me well know I love providing information about the nervous system, neural pathway formation, trauma, attachment, and anxiety. Understanding the biological/physiological explanations of symptoms/behaviors/experiences can provide a strong sense of validation and normalization.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Jung
My specialties & experience:
I specialize in trauma, attachment, anxiety, and disordered eating. I also have experience working with ADHD, adjustment to life transitions, body dysmorphia, codependency, depression, domestic violence, emotional abuse, family dynamics, gender identity, self-esteem, sexual abuse, sexuality, and stress. Clients often experience a more than one of these concerns, and it’s very normal for these concerns to overlap with each other. Through increased knowledge of how symptoms develop, clients can gain a deeper understanding of their experience. This can be much more comprehensive and validating than focusing solely on a diagnostic label.
Without meaning to, somewhere along the way I realized I was predominantly working with clients who were new to therapy, and may have been hesitant or nervous about starting therapy. I’m very passionate about working with clients who are new to therapy, and showing them how comfortable, casual, and low-stakes it can be. It’s important to me to decrease the stigma around mental health and counseling, and I try to do this by being transparent about what to expect from therapy, being honest about every step along the way of the therapeutic process, and being open to feedback from clients regarding their preferences and goals.
You are not broken in need of fixing. Rather, you are deeply hurt in need of care.

My clients:
Virtual sessions through telehealth allow me to connect with clients from all walks of life, all genders and sexual orientations, all races, all religious identities, and other identities who are seeking support- with the telehealth regulation that the clients participating in counseling sessions must be physically located in their home state (either Ohio, Florida, or Massachusetts) during the session. Counseling sessions are available in the states in which I am officially licensed, which currently include Ohio, Florida and Massachusetts, and Somatic Experiencing sessions are available across all 50 states.
I encourage clients to bring as much of their genuine selves as they want to the session, including their creativity, religion, spirituality, or other healing resources, and encourage clients to set boundaries around how much they want to share with me at any given time. I work with adolescents and adults through individual counseling, individual Somatic Experiencing sessions, and will be opening up group counseling options in the future.
“I have come to believe that caring for myself is not self-indulgent. Caring for myself is an act of survival.”
