This Morning Routine Will Improve Your Mood

Sometimes you need to play an active role in ensuring your mood. Here are some ideas to think about.

Take some time to start a routine that puts the focus on you!

  • Do you have a set plan or appointment to get to right away? If you can afford the time, why not stay in bed just ten minutes longer - and think about the ways in which you’ve been blessed before getting started.

  • Start your day with an accomplishment. It doesn’t have to be something significant, but just a task that sets the stage for you meeting challenges today -it may be as simple as making your bed!

  • Stay clear from those nagging technology devices for a few minutes (desktop, laptop, mobile phone, TV, etc.). You’ll be able to check them out soon, but let yourself get grounded first thing.

  • Have a short exercise routine - get your blood flowing. It doesn’t have to be a lot of activity - just something that you can set as a standard to start your day.

  • Get showered, dressed and eat - it’s time to meet the day! If you’re a coffee or tea drinker - make yourself a cup - along with something light to eat to start your body off with nourishment.

  • Think of a few positive thoughts/associations - before things get too busy. This could be anything that puts you in the right frame of mind to accept challenges and move forward.

  • Stay hydrated! Drink water during the day to help your body and mind be at their best! You got this!

Hey, you know who has great ideas? You! Maybe there are additional routines you’ve had success with in the past - why not add them to the start of your day to take control of your mood and what you accomplish!
